American Driving Academy is the premium driver training school in Colorado. We have over 30 highly trained and qualified instructors available to teach you or your child and we have over 25 vehicles in our fleet. We train 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. We teach in many high schools throughout the state.

Program Description: We are proud of our high quality programs. Our program consists of 30 hrs of in-class instruction and 12 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Six hours of the 12 hours the student drives and 6 hours the student observes. Students will also be able to take both Colorado written permit test and the actual driving exam in our program. All the driving takes place in one of our dual-controlled cars with one of our friendly, patient  instructors that are approved and regulated by the Colorado Motor Vehicle Business Group. Students may attend classes at any school most convenient for them.

We also offer two different home study programs. In one program the student may complete the 30 hour classroom work as a home study course and complete 12 hours behind the wheel training in one of our dual-controlled cars with one of our friendly, patient instructors that are approved and regulated by the Colorado Motor Vehicle Business Group. Six of the 12 hours the student drives and 6 hours the student observes. Students will also take the Colorado written permit test and the actual driving exam in our program. Students may sign up for and start this program at 14 and 1/2 years of age.

In our second program we offer a complete home study course for both the 30 hours of classroom and the behind the wheel training. Students may sign up for and start this program at 14 and 1/2 years of age.

With both programs students are also welcome, but not required, to attend any class at any school most convenient for them!
