American Driving Academy offers comprehensive driving school in Aurora and online drivers ed programs. Our students receive comprehensive instruction about all the rules of the road and the safest ways to handle a vehicle. With our all-inclusive Aurora driving school programs, students can start classes at age 14 and ½ and earn their permit by age 15.

The program combines dynamic online driving school coursework with hands on instruction in one of our dual-controlled instruction vehicles. Students spend 30 hours learning in the classroom or studying online drivers ed coursework. With 12 hours of on the road training with a DMV-certified instructor, students quickly gain an extensive knowledge of safe driving habits. Six of the in-vehicle hours are spent observing the instructor, and the other six are spent directly behind the wheel.

American Driving Academy offers the opportunity to learn from home with our Aurora online drivers ed programs. Our driving school course includes 30 hours of classwork about the rules of the road and best driving practices. For a practical approach to driving school we offer 12 hours of instruction in a dual-controlled vehicle with a certified driving instructor. Regulated by the Colorado Motor Vehicle Business Group, our instructors are patient and friendly help for students unfamiliar with the everyday minutiae of operating a motor vehicle. Students will spend six hours observing their instructor’s driving and then another six hours actually driving the vehicle. The American Driving Academy online drivers ed program includes a written permit test that students can take as soon as they turn age 15. Driving school classes are available for ages 14 and ½ and above. Cost is $415.00

Homestudy courses start at $95.00, with 12 hours of driving instruction not included.

Online drivers ed pupils may also visit one of our optional in-person classes any time.

Benefits: Students can receive their permit sooner than their peers when enrolled in a driving instruction course, as soon at age 15 (six months sooner than students who don’t take a course). Additionally, insurance companies provide discounts for new drivers who have taken an instructional course. For your convenience, American Driving Academy’s team of certified driving instructors conduct all driving tests, meaning you don’t have to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles.
